Ski & Midlife Wellness Retreat

Vicki Jeffrey • Jan 30, 2023

Chalet Margaux, Ste Foy France 5th-12th March 2023

Join me for a week of fun on and off the piste in the beautiful French Alps.

The retreat's emphasis is on midlife wellbeing.

Together we will explore all that midlife has to offer the good the bad and the ugly...there is no hiding place!

Wake up to the snow capped mountains, a muscle blast to get those ski legs ready before heading off into nature and the great outdoors.

Weary legs and feet are then immersed into the warmth of the bubbles in the hot tub before we have our evening Wellness Discussions.

A healthy curated evening meal prepared by our own chef with the emphasis on low carb, low sugar will then lead us into a guided meditation before heading to bed for that all important 8 hours sleep.

Menopause seems to be a 'buzz' word at the moment yet this 'transition' or 'right of passage' which women have been going through since evolution has been brushed under the carpet, misdiagnosed as depression, IBS, 'she's having a moment' or 'she's going through 'the change' (usually followed with an eye roll) etc etc, any of that sound familiar? Would men really be expected to put up and shut up whilst dealing with the challenges of work, ageing parents, teenage children, relationship struggles oh and let's not forget some of the menopause symptoms (of which there are over 30)? Research shows that the more you know about what to expect during menopause the less likely it is to negatively impact your life. (Body Logic Survey) Well, I'm ready to open up the conversation and talk openly and frankly about the 'challenges', the misinformation and 'fake news' surrounding our next chapter...are you ready to discuss the Magic of Menopause? I am offering 1:1 private sessions please email or DM me for further information. I'm looking forward to supporting you all through this next phase. Let's get this conversation started, together we are stronger and empowered. xVx

Reading with interest of late all about the microbiome of the gut and its effect on our health. This has been a topic of conversation on my Masterclass sessions with Super Nutrionist Amanda Hamilton (amanda hamilton.com) and something she has been discussing (and writing about) for some time. Interesting article in todays Times (T2 section) highlighting the importance of our unique microbiome's https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/why-the-future-of-medicine-is-all-in-your-gut-n5vq9d9dd and how a healthy gut can certainly help to ward off some nasty diseases. Also, if you have been subscribed to the Covid Sympton App there have been lots of discussions and findings by Kings College London with a link between Covid-19 and your gut health. They say that the latest scientific research shows that these gut microbiomes play a big role in our health, affecting our immune system and even weight gain. For a good 'gut feeling' try to add 30 or more different plants to your diet each week, I know who knew there were so many plants! Fibre rich foods like wholegrains, beans, pulses, fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Start to include fermented foods such as kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut and kombucha that all contain beneficial probiotic bacteria.

My new hero product of the month, just launched in March 2021 This time release AHA Overnight At-Home Peel contains true 10% encapsulated Glycolic Acid Time Release Technology (crystal encapsulation) which minimises any irritation caused from powerful levels of glycolic acid. This at-home peel is a powerful formula with minimal tingling, and no downtime. It is ideal for use to prolong the results of a peeling/facial course. It can also be used as an entry-level at home peel for customers nervous about their first peeling experience. This really is an overnight revelation, my current favourite product.
